How to Take Your Own Measurements

For the best Zanira fit, please follow this simple self-measurement guide.
You’ll need a soft measuring tape, a mirror, and comfortable, fitted clothing.

📌 Bust / Chest Measurement – Code: Z-BUST

What this is for:
Tops, dresses, blazers and anything fitted around your upper body.

How to measure:

  1. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust/chest, going straight across your back. [web:2][web:11]
  2. Keep the tape snug but not tight – you should be able to slide one finger under it. [web:5][web:9]
  3. Check in the mirror that the tape is level all the way around. [web:3][web:7]

🪶 Waist Measurement – Code: Z-WAIST

What this is for:
High-waist pieces, fitted dresses, skirts, and tailored bottoms.

How to measure:

  1. Find your natural waist – the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button. [web:1][web:9]
  2. Wrap the tape around this point, keeping it parallel to the floor. [web:1][web:3]
  3. Make sure it feels comfortable, not squeezing – you should be able to breathe normally. [web:7][web:9]

🍑 Hip Measurement – Code: Z-HIP

What this is for:
Trousers, skirts, dresses, and any style fitted around the lower body.

How to measure:

  1. Stand with your feet together. [web:9]

  3. Check that the tape is flat and level, not dipping at the back. [web:3][web:7]

👗 Torso / Body Length – Code: Z-TORSO

What this is for:
Dress lengths, top lengths, and custom torso adjustments.

How to measure (front):

  1. Place the tape at the top of your shoulder, where your neck meets your shoulder. [web:5]
  2. Run it over the bust, down the center of your body to the point where you want the garment to end (waist/hip/mid-thigh). [web:3][web:5]
  3. Let the tape follow the natural curve of your body without pulling too tight. [web:5]

👖 Inseam – Code: Z-INSEAM

What this is for:
Trousers, jumpsuits, and any full-length bottom.

How to measure:

  1. Stand straight with legs slightly apart. [web:9]
  2. Measure from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) down to your ankle bone or desired hem. [web:3][web:9]
  3. For extra accuracy, measure the inseam of a well-fitting pair of trousers you already own. [web:9]

🦵 Thigh & Calf – Code: Z-THIGH / Z-CALF

Thigh (for fitted pants, shorts, bodycon pieces):

  1. Measure around the fullest part of your upper thigh, a few inches below the hip. [web:9]

Calf (for fitted trousers or boots):

  1. Measure around the widest part of your calf while standing. [web:9]

✋ Arm, Sleeve & Wrist – Code: Z-ARM, Z-BICEP, Z-WRIST

Arm / sleeve length:

  1. Slightly bend your elbow.
  2. Measure from the top of your shoulder down over the elbow to your wrist bone. [web:2][web:5]

Bicep:

  1. Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. [web:5]

Wrist:

  1. Wrap the tape lightly around your wrist bone, not too tight. [web:5]

What this is for:
Blazers, shirts, structured dresses, and clean shoulder fits.

How to measure:

  2. Measure from the edge of one shoulder bone straight across the back to the edge of the other shoulder bone. [web:5]
  3. Keep the tape flat and straight across your back, not curved around the neck. [web:5]
